The Global Lifestyle Medicine Leadership Forum was a gathering of 26 Lifestyle Medicine leaders from 21 countries who have a deep understanding of local, regional and global LM challenges.
The forum was organized by Lifestyle Medicine Global Alliance and the IBLM in association with the Institute of Population Health at Weill Cornell Medicine – Qatar. The forum was held in Doha from the 14th to the 17th of February, 2024.
It was a union of people who very strongly believe that lifestyle medicine is going to be critical to address the most serious challenges facing human health on a global scale in the 21st century. The four-day forum, allowed all the participants to share the LM stories of the discipline and framework in their own societies, discuss the clinical and societal challenges of LM in their respective countries and to discuss a proposal to refine existing lifestyle medicine competencies.
The final day of the forum was dedicated to a full day of continuous professional development on how lifestyle medicine is an opportunity to redefine healthcare, promote wellbeing and discuss current and progressive advances in lifestyle medicine education, practice, and research.
SLSLM was represented by the VP education of the society, Dr. Mufeedha Fausz.
