A Global Network
The lifestyle medicine special interest groups, country organizations, regional councils, and world organizations create a network and a conducive environment for research, education, policy advocacy, leadership, and resource sharing. These processes are ultimately aimed at global healthcare change to redefine our contemporary approach to non-communicable diseases. In Sri Lanka, we have access to the Asian Lifestyle Medicine Council, which serves as the regional organization, and global platforms, such as the Lifestyle Medicine Global Alliance and the World Lifestyle Medicine Organization, to mediate change.
Global Lifestyle Medicine Community
Lifestyle Medicine Global Alliance (LMGA) sister organizations are those who meet the criteria set forth by the LMGA global steering committee. Of the 5 levels, level 5 is for established and sophisticated sister organizations, while level 1 is for organizations that are starting out.
